FestiGoGo: The App is Released
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
LafayetteLouisianaUnited States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) December 2, 2010 -- After two years in the making, MacFriends, Inc. today released FestiGoGo on the Apple iTunes App Store. FestiGoGo is a free iPhone app that provides comprehensive music festival information, and allows users to discover, learn about, and keep up with a wide variety of music festivals around the United States. FestiGoGo is described as being festival-centric, in that it is all about music festivals, “A pocket full of music festivals.”

“There are some music festival apps in the iTunes App Store,” said Richard Sarver, president and co-founder of MacFriends, Inc., “but what sets FestiGoGo apart from all the rest is its comprehensive nature. FestiGoGo allows even the smallest folk festival to be represented and gain exposure on mobile devices, right next to some of the largest music festivals in the industry.”

FestiGoGo provides detailed information about different types of music festivals including rock, country, Indie, folk, bluegrass, blues, cajun, electronica, and everything in between. The folks behind FestiGoGo have made it their mission to promote all music festivals, to promote them all equally, and to promote them all for free.

MacFriends intends to build close working relationships with festival organizers to ensure that the information on FestiGoGo is always up-to-date and accurate. “A key to FestiGoGo’s success depends largely on how well the app is received by festival organizers,” said Ben Hampton, co-founder of MacFriends.

Upon launching the FestiGoGo app, users immediately see a list of “Current & Upcoming Festivals.” This feature makes it very easy to see exactly which festivals are currently taking place or are coming right around the corner, and where these festivals are located. However, these current and upcoming festivals only constitute the tip of the iceberg compared with the wealth of music festival information available inside of FestiGoGo. In order to navigate to the golden information stored within, FestiGoGo offers a user-friendly search interface: Search by Date, Search by Location, Search by Performer, or Search by Genre. And after browsing the search area in FestiGoGo for a few minutes, FestiGoGo’s slogan becomes clear — it truly is “A pocket full of music festivals.”

Once music festivals have announced their line-up and festival schedules, a blue in-app purchase button will appear on the main Festival Details screen in FestiGoGo. Purchasing a festival in FestiGogo opens up additional information about that festival such as the festival’s schedule, detailed performer information, and allows users to create their own personal festival schedule. All FestiGoGo in-app purchases sell for $0.99.
